During the 2025 Spring Festival, amid cold weather conditions and rising electricity demand, the world's largest clean energy corridor maintained enhanced power production capabilities. From January 28 - February 4, the cascade hydropower plants generated approximately 4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, sufficient to meet the daily power need?of 1.37 billion people. The daily generation averaged 500 million kilowatt-hours, representing a 24% increase over the previous five-year average, which demonstrates the system's crucial role in maintaining stable and reliable energy supply during the?peak demand period.
To ensure reliable power supply during the 2025 Spring Festival, CYPC under China Three Gorges Corporation implemented comprehensive operational plans, enhanced cold weather monitoring systems, conducted pre-holiday strategic planning sessions, and continuously refined power dispatch protocols. More than 1,000 personnel stuck to their posts for maintaining essential operations and ensuring high-quality equipment maintenance and reliable power delivery, which contributed to a warm and secure Chinese new year holiday.
Moving forward, CYPC will maintain its commitment to operational safety as the top priority while managing the world's largest clean energy corridor. The Company will continue to balance multiple objectives including downstream water supply, navigation support, ecological protection, and power generation, maximizing the comprehensive benefits of this critical national infrastructure to support economic development and public welfare.
